"It was one of the books we could have chosen for summer reading going into AP Literature and Composition at Grade 10. Along with choosing one book, we were required to read A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest Gaines and The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien. Though I didn't like the book at first, I ended up becoming intrigued in the perplexing depth of misery and love that is Heathcliff’s character. And you're right, it's like Harry Potter featuring a rollercoaster-like-plot full of twists and turns but so much better. I'd like to read it again, though it is a bit lengthy for a Gothic love fiction novel."
